3 liters is 3000 milliters.

1 liter is 1000 milliters.

So 3 liters would be 3000 milliters.

there are 1,000 milliliters in 1 liter, so:
[tex] \frac{3 L}{1} \times \frac{1000mL}{1L} = 3000 \: mL[/tex]
