what is the slope of the line represented by the equation 2x-6y=7?

Put into slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b (m is slope) 

2x-6y=7 

Add 6y to the other side. 

2x=7+6y

Subtract 7 on both sides. 

6y=2x-7 (I rearranged it; same thing)

The slope is 2.
