Two sides of a rectangle fence are 5 5/8 feet long. The other two sides are 6 1/4 feet long. What is the perimeter?

11 7/8 feet is the answer bc perimeter is just adding all the side, so if 2 side = 5 5/8 and the other 2 = 6 1/4 then the sum will be 11 7/8 feet

perimeter (p) = 2w+2l, l = 6 1/4 = 25/4 ft,
w = 5 5/8 = 45/8
so p = 2(45/8) + 2(25/4) = 45/4 + 25/2
= 45/4 + 50/4 = (45+50)/4 = 95/4 ft
= 23 3/4 ft
