1/4(2x - 14) = 4....multiply both sides by 4
2x - 14 = 4 * 4
2x - 14 = 16
2x = 16 + 14
2x = 30
x = 30/2
x = 15 <==

[tex] \frac{1}{4(2x-14)} = 4[/tex]

[tex]1 = 4 * 4(2x-14)[/tex]

[tex]1 = 4 * ( 8x - 56)[/tex]

[tex]1 = 32x - 224[/tex]

[tex]32x = 1 + 224 [/tex]

[tex]32x = 225[/tex]

x = [tex] \frac{225}{32} [/tex]

x = 7.03125
