With a 20 ft leash, the dog can move in the circle. Now, knowing that he can move around in a circle, we just need to use the circle formula. A = 3.14(r) squared.
Since you use 3.14 for pi; A = 3.14(20) squared --> A = 1256


Answer = 1256
