A) 2y = 8x - 14
B) 4y = 8x + 4
Multiplying Equation "A" by -1

A) -2y = -8x +14 Then adding it to B
B) 4y = 8x + 4
2y = 18
y = 9
A) 2y = 8x - 14
A) 18 = 8x -14
A) 32 = 8x
x=4

-1(4y=8x+4)=-4y=-8x-4
+2y=8x-14
=========
-2y=-18
y=9

Then plug in y
2(9)=8x-14
18+14=8x
32/8=x
x=4
