A tractor travels at a constant speed of 6m/s. Find the power supplied by the engine if it can supply a maximum force of 467 kN.

speed = v = 6m/s

Force = 467 kn = 467000N

Power = Work/ time

Work = Force x distance

Speed = distance / time

Isolating Distance:

Distance = Speed * time

P =[ Force * (speed * time ) ] / time

P = Force * speed

Replacing:

P = 467000 N * 6 m/s = 2,802,000 W
