Okay, so I am assuming you are given the knowledge that you can drive 169 miles in 3 hours and 30 minutes. To start, transfer the hours to minutes.

3 * 60 = 180

Add the extra 30 minutes.

180 + 30 = 210

So you drove 169 miles in 210 minutes. Divide the miles by the time spent.
