Answer:

overfishing is when there are more fish being fished out o the ocean than the biomass of fish, e.g. in 1970 in the north sea, there was double the amount of kabeljau caught than the biomass. it threatens the coral reefs because a part of the food chain is missing, which has an impact on everything else.
