Figure 1: find the surface area: [(3 x 2 1/4) x 2] for the top and bottom. [(4 1/2 x 2 1/4)x 2] for the left and right squares. [(3 x 4 1/2) x 2] for the front and back. Which should be 20 1/4 + 27 + 13 1/2 = 60 3/4 m. The area is 4 1/2 x 3 x 2 1/4 = 30 3/4 m.
