We know that angle 3 is the same as angle 7. And we know that one line is equal to 180°. So we are going to take 180 and subtract 38 from it. Therefore, angle 3 is equal to 142°

∠3 = 142°

∠6 = 38° ( vertically opposite angles )

∠5 = 180 - 38 = 142° ( supplementary to ∠5 )

∠3 = 142° ( vertically opposite ∠5 )
