Selena Quintanilla-Prez, often known as Selena, was a Mexican-American singer, songwriter, spokesperson, actress, and dressmaker. Referred to as the “Queen of Tejano music”, her contributions to music and style made her one of the crucial celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the late twentieth century. For over twenty years, her music continues to be broadly celebrated and her style decisions stay influential.
Selena was killed on March 31, 1995, on the age of 23, by Yolanda Saldvar, the president of her fan membership. Saldvar shot Selena within the again as she was leaving a Days Inn motel in Corpus Christi, Texas. Selena was rushed to a close-by hospital, the place she was pronounced lifeless.
